Get Ready to Study Abroad

Ready for university. Ready for more.

Prepare for the move from high school to an English-medium university with practical work on interviews, listening, note-taking and academic writing. Learn to discuss your achievements, interests and experience, formulate your own interview answers and use language that helps you present yourself clearly.

The eight modules also introduce skills you will need once your studies begin: identifying key information in lectures, organising notes, planning essays, writing clear paragraphs and reviewing your work. The course includes approximately two hours of practice per module, approximately 16 hours of learning and practice overall, and three personal consultations. B1 (Intermediate) is the recommended English level.

Who is it for, and what level do I need?

The course is designed for high-school students planning to enter a university abroad, particularly students who will study in English.

The recommended English level is B1 (Intermediate). The course helps you develop language and study skills for the transition to university.

Will I know the exact questions for my university interview?

The course cannot predict exactly what you will be asked. It prepares you for common types of university interview questions and the communication skills they require.

You will formulate and practise your own answers, learn useful language for presenting yourself, and work on talking about your achievements, interests and experience. These skills can be adapted to your own interview.

What academic skills will I practise?

Alongside interview preparation, the course introduces practical listening, reading and writing skills for university study.

  • Understanding lectures and identifying key information
  • Taking effective notes and organising information from lectures and reading
  • Understanding essay structure and planning an essay
  • Writing clear academic paragraphs
  • Revising, proofreading and correcting common mistakes
  • Structuring a research paper and writing emails to an academic advisor
Should I complete the modules in order?

We recommend following the eight modules in order because they form a coherent preparation course.

You can return to individual activities whenever you need additional practice.

What is included in the course?

The course includes eight practical modules, with approximately two hours of practice per module and approximately 16 hours of learning and practice in total.

  • University interview preparation
  • Academic listening and note-taking practice
  • Essential academic writing skills
  • Practical exercises and activities
  • 3 personal consultations
  • Certificate of completion
What if I need additional help?

If you need additional online consultations, please contact us. Additional consultations are available for an extra fee.

How do I sign up?

Once we receive your answers, we will contact you with the next steps.

A little context

What practice
could look like.

A practical example of how these skills can fit into real life.

An illustrative practice task

Explain an achievement in an interview

Choose an achievement from school or an activity you enjoy. Prepare a short answer explaining what you did, why it mattered to you and what you learned. Practise saying it aloud in your own words.

An example based on the course's stated topics; not an excerpt from a course exercise.
